The top ten scenic spots and historic sites in China refer to the 10 scenic spots of the Great Wall, Guilin Landscape, Beijing Forbidden City, West Lake of Hangzhou, Suzhou Gardens, Huangshan Mountain, Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Riyuetan Lake of Taiwan, Chengde Summer Resort, and Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xi'an, which were selected by the Chinese Tourism Daily in 1985 after more than half a year's evaluation.

These ten scenic spots are distributed in the east, west, north and South regions of the motherland, including natural landscapes, historical buildings, cultural landscapes and cultural relics and monuments.

1. The Great Wall (the First Military Project in Ancient China)
