Attention should be paid to the tourists going to Thailand in the future! Thailand announced that it would collect a "tourism tax" for global travelers in the future. It is expected to collect 100 baht per traveler, which will be implemented as soon as six months later.

According to foreign media reports, the Thai authorities put forward the concept of "tourism tax" at the end of May, in order to raise the tax revenue, promote the development of domestic tourist attractions, as well as the medical insurance of foreign tourists, and even plan for the destruction of popular attractions and the sustainable development of the future. However, it still needs at least half a year to discuss and make final decisions.

Nowadays, countries all over the world are collecting tourism taxes, including Japan's 1,000 yen tax on going abroad from January this year, and many cities in Japan begin to collect accommodation tax according to the different price levels. Many popular tourist cities in Italy will also collect accommodation tax ranging from Euro 3 to Euro 7 for different star-rated hotels, and Malaysia will also collect departure tax of US$10 for foreign tourists.
